Clean-up And Care
- Keeping Tools in Good Condition: Painting tools and accessories
can be used again by taking a little extra time to clean up at the
end of the day or the end of the job.
- Latex Paint: Wipe all excess paint from the brushes or
rollers onto brown paper. Clean-up brushes, rollers, other tools
and hands with soap and water.
- If you have any paint left over, keep it for touch-up work
later. Air trapped inside the can may cause a skin to form. This
"skin" needs to be removed before using the paint again. Place a
sheet of thin plastic wrap over the can and securely replace the
lid.
- To assure durability benefits, wait at least two weeks
before washing the dry paint. Wash surface dirt and marks with a
mild liquid detergent and water. Apply with a soft cloth or sponge
then rinse with clear water. Penetrating stains and marks can be
removed with a diluted bleach solution. Use of abrasive cleaners
may damage the painted surface.
