How Much Paint Do You Need?
Measure the perimeter (width of each wall) of your room.
Then multiply the perimeter total by the height of the walls.
Example:
Perimeter 20 ft. + 20 ft. + 12 ft. + 12 ft = 64 ft.
64 ft. (width) x 8 ft. (height) = 512 sq. ft.
One gallon of paint covers approximately 400 sq. ft.. Therefore this room would require about 1 1/2 gallons of paint to complete one coat.
