Surface Preparation

  • Before you start, remove draperies, pictures, mirrors, switch and receptacle plates and all hardware. Cover all furniture and the floor with drop cloths. Loosen lighting fixtures or cover with masking tape.

  • For properly prepared surface use the appropriate Primer & Sealer or undercoater to ensure a premium long lasting paint job.

  • Bare Wood: Fill nail holes, joints and cracks with patching paste. Sand the surface smooth and clean sanding dust with a damp cloth. Prime bare or patched areas with a Stain-Blocking Primer & Sealer.
